RICARDO J. CARDINAL VIDAL, D.D.

Born: February 6, 1931 in Mogpog, Marinduque.  Ordained Priest: March 17, 1956.  Appointed Titular Bishop of Die Sancti Petri et Pauli and Co-adjutor Bishop of Malolos.  September 10, 1971. Ordained Bishop: November 30, 1971.  Appointed Archbishop of Lipa and installed: August 22, 1973.  Appointed Coadjutor Archbishop of Cebu c.i.s.: April 13, 1981.  Succeeded as Archbishop of Cebu: August 24, 1982.  Installed: September 18, 1982.  Elevated to the Cardinalate:  May 25, 1985.
